SUMMARY:What is Neurodiversity? | Author Visit with Sally J. Pla
DESCRIPTION:Have your students heard the term neurodiversity?\n\n\n\nFor this event\, Author\, Sally J. Pla will be joining us to read her book\, Benji\, the Bad Day\, and Me. In this tender story about siblings\, author Sally J. And on those really bad\, rotten days\, you can always count on family to be there for you. \n\n\n\nSally will also spend some time introducing us to the concept of neurodiversity and talking about her mission to help populate children’s literature with characters whose brains operate differently and characters who may have various mental health challenges. . \n\n\n\nAbout The PresenterIn addition to being an advocate for neurodiversity and autism acceptance\, Sally J.
